Jim began serving in ministry as a volunteer in children’s ministry shortly following his conversion in 1977 . He served in a number of areas of ministry throughout the years as Sunday school teacher, deacon, youth worker, camp counselor, etc. In 1999, Pastor John King asked Jim to come on staff as Associate Pastor of Care and Outreach. Jim has a degree in Labor Relations and Labor Studies and worked for twenty years in the mining industry as a labor relations consultant. He is married to Jennifer and they have two grown children and four grandchildren.
Major areas of responsibility:
• Visitation of hospital patients, shut-ins, visitors to the church, special and emergency needs.
• Counseling – crisis, pre-marital and counseling regarding ongoing family needs.
• Outreach – Jail Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, 3-D Archery, and other outreach opportunities.
